Scout Troops consist of small units of six to eight Scouts called a Patrol, usually led by a Patrol Leader (PL), deputised by an Assistant (APL). Outdoor activities feature prominently, with the highlight being frequent camps. Throughout the year, Scouts learn various skills, such as map reading, camp cooking and first aid in preparation for camp.
Outdoor activities such as climbing, hill walking, abseiling and hiking are just some of the things they also get up to.
Scouts are in the age range 10 1/2 – 14 years old and the 150th Scout troop meets up on Friday evenings from 7pm – 9pm.
